Her Majesty's Treasury

MJ Ferguson Services Limited were appointed by HM Treasury to undertake the adaption of their basement area previously used for achieving. With consideration to the buildings Heritage Assessment, we designed and created multi-purpose rooms incorporating light partitions such as glass and retractable panels and installed LED panels and strips to imitate natural daylight.

A monochrome appearance was devised for the exposed services in the ceiling allowing for maximum room height to be utilised, whilst maintaining a consistent approach throughout the area. Warm materials were used for the walls and flooring to make spaces welcoming, whilst adding a splash of colour to create an energetic and playful vibe.

For privacy, automatic frosting to clear glass was installed and high-quality partitions, flooring and furniture designed to capture sound. Each of the rooms has its own cooling system and individual character, working in harmony with the history of the building and enticing people to use the space despite its basement location.
