Dismantlement, Removable & Relocation of Jonathan Edwards Statue

MJ Ferguson Services Limited were appointed by Engie to undertake the dismantlement and removal of the Jonathan Edwards Statue, which has been sited at Stratford Station since to 2012, and safety relocate it to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Working on a platform in a busy London mainline commuter station, barriers were set up around the area before works commenced.

Description of works:

  • Isolation/disconnection of electrics and lighting to plinth.
  • Unbolt and removal of clear plastic surround.
  • Wrap and protect artwork before removal from the base.
  • Transport artwork via 3 flights of stairs using a pump track and floor skates.
  • Reinstate artwork on its stand with clear surround at new location.
