MJ Ferguson Services Limited were appointed to undertake a project at Queens Hospital in Romford, to reconfigure and refurbish their waiting and children’s play areas, to form a new Rapid Assessment and First Treatment area.
The new facility incorporates seven new bed bays and an isolation bay, and the project consisted of the following elements:
- Removal and replacement of existing ceiling and floor finishes
- Removal of various walls, and making good adjacent structures
- Construction of new fire rated partition walls to form new areas
- Removal / reconfiguration of the existing electrical and mechanical services to suit the new layout
- Installation of fire rated emergency escape doors
- Installation of new treatment bays
- A new staff base
- Full redecoration
